We are very pleased with our mild combo in Shanan's FG XR6T with cranked out 502rwkw on 110 unleaded. this was achieved with one of our Dyno-Mite forged motors with mild head work and cams. The street tune is 420rwkw on 98 octane. This car has ran a pb of 10.40@136 when it had a standard engine and making 446rwkw. Were very confident that it will run quicker hoping to snatch the Australian record for a FG.
Dyno-Mites 4.0l turbo powered XD Pro Street car. hitting the track for the first time back in August last year at Heathcote Park. The XD ran an off the trailer 9.59@160. that was achieved with a start line boost or 8lbs then ramping boost to 28lbs over 5 seconds. The second pass with a start line boost of 15lbs it ran a 1.46 60ft which was a 7 tenths quicker in the 60ft zone than the first run, but by ramping the boost over 3 seconds the track couldn't hold it an i had the get off the throttle a couple of times, but still netted a 9.69@158. third pass had an issue with the trans so we called it a day.We fixed the trans and went back to Heathcote this time with a good launch and boost ramping over 5 seconds the XD ran a 8.90@164.46 mind you with the g/f in the car!
Next outing was Calder Park. The first run was a 9.35@160, the boost controller had shut off just after launch. We looked around and couldn't see anything so went out for another run. This time no issues and ran a 8.55@160. hoping to back up that time or better it, the boost controller played up again for the next two runs. We packed it up still leaving very happy.
Our alloy transmission pans ($299.95) are now available for the Ford 4 speed automatic transmission.
We have added a video gallery section to our gallery area featuring dyno runs of some of our customer's vehicles.
We have just completed our first tune of a FG GT and are quite happy with the overall performance.
The car has only 200k's on it and the standard dyno figure was 252kW at the rear wheels.
After quite a few hours of tuning we came up with the new figures of 267kW at the rear. It didn't seem like much of a gain but to drive it you would think we found 40kW! This is due to removing the torque limiting parameters.
We will be hitting the track soon to run in standard tune and our tune.
